It is with great sadness to learn that Rosa Aurora Freijanes has passed away. She left a deep impression on members of the Indiana District, Communist Party USA. Members of the District remember her fondly from her time visiting Fernando Gonzalez, a patriot to humanity and one of the Cuban 5, while he was unjustly and cruelly incarcerated in the Federal Penitentiary in Terre Haute, Indiana. Rosa’s dedication to freeing Fernando and all five heroic comrades who fought to expose and halt the terrorist activities of exiled Cuban reactionaries in Miami, Florida was an inspiration to us all.
